Ready
Contrary to what a few may think, I am happy and proud of where I am.
This living is good.
There will be more when the time is right.
I am thankful and happy for my family. I am grateful for my diverse friends.
I look forward to many more of both.
Have I done what I need to do? Not yet. Not yet. Perhaps yet I will surprise you. But I live for myself.
I dreampt of the Pope recently, and his advice to me was “live for the world” vs live for the planet.
We shall not disappoint.

Significance of 21 – How Awareness Changes Reality or “Why does everyone have a mustache when you do?”
I was asked about the significance of the number 21 in my life, due to today being International Squirrel Appreciation Day which happens to be the 21st. I had to think about it for a minute and traced the initial noticing of it after I was nicknamed TwoOne. Which made me think: Did the number 21 suddenly start occurring more around me, or is it that my awareness of these occurrences increased?
For the record here are the references to 21 that I was able to come up with:
- TwoOne – nickname
- The best issue of the original G.I.Joe comic is 21 – Snake Eyes silent interlude
- Wonder Woman 21 is the source of the sun design in my tattoo
- International Squirrel Appreciation Day is January 21st
- The solstices occur on the 21sts
- The 21 – Universe card in Tarot comes up more frequently than others for me
Currently that’s all I came up with, which is not a huge number by any means. So the real question is repeated – whats the importance of 21 in my life? From my list only the first and the last have unique meaning to me. The coincidence of Squirrel Day falling on the 21st is strange, but probably nothing more than that.
But it feels more to me, perception alters reality. I notice it more when it does occur, therefore I perceive it happens more frequently than other numbers.

Had the squirrel, chakik updated, added the tree (scientific squirrel family tree) and waves. :) Waves are a complete band around my arm, representing the circle of life/infinity and cyclical nature of being.

Just watched Warner Bros/DC Green Lantern animated movie. And guess who should be in it? Good ole Ch’p, the Green Lantern of sector 1014.

Cycles
Everything has a cycle. Life, the earth, sun, moon, sky. All of it.
Simplicity in a sin wave.
If it wasn’t for the fat squirrel on my calendar I’d say I was at the bottom of a cycle now.
The house I get to keep, if only my mind and heart would stay as well.
As always, I’m not really sure whats going on, nor where I am headed.
I built an arcade in my basement, that I now do not want. Another way for me to waste this precious time. It’s beginning to run out.

Inside our Boxes
As I was walking my dog tonight I noticed some things. Everyone is closed off from each other now. Each house I passed had its own giant TV hanging on the wall with a few people seated in front of it, mesmerized by the glowing screen. The rains earlier in the day seemed to have driven everyone inside, as Cala and I saw no other people or dogs outside.
People used to be more social and neighborly. Now our interactions are all digital. I am the poster child for this.
What an interesting world we live in. Time passes and people get further away from each other. Thankfully there are still dogs and squirrels.
Vlog? or not to vlog
So I am thinking about vlogging. Seems easier than typing my thoughts all the time.
This is a test. Need to see where I can host them. Does it work? Here is a squirrel.
42 and 21 and both make sense
I asked the tarot first. It said 21. The Universe. No small irony there.
Then i asked the I-Ching. It said 42 – Increase. Wind and Thunder.
The idea of increasing is expressed in the fact that the strong lowest line of the upper trigram has sunk down and take its place under the lower trigram. This conception also expresses the fundamental idea on which the Book of Changes is based. To rule truly is to serve.
A sacrifice of the higher element that produces an increase of the lower is called an out-an-out increase: it indicates the spirit that alone has power to help the world.
Sacrifice on the part of those above for the increase of those below fills the people with a sense of joy and gratitude that is extremely valuable for the flowering of the commonwealth.
I used my iPhone I-Ching to get this hexagram. In my fathers book of the I Ching, this hexagram immediately follows P’i, standstill, which you may recall from the ink on my left arm. After watching Wall-E and seeing it end with turtles and them looking up into a tree, while the song says “come down to the ground” makes me eerily aware that this cannot all possibly be a cooincidence.
It’s time for change.
